Lottie Golding
Physiotherapist
Visiting Para-Professionals
Lottie qualified as a physiotherapist from King’s College London University in 2012 and an ACPAT Cat A Veterinary Physiotherapist from Hartpury College in 2016. Lottie is currently working as a physiotherapist for CHAPPS Ltd treating equines, small animals and humans. Since graduating, Lottie has worked in private musculoskeletal medicine for humans, in both clinic and community-based settings, as well as working in neurology treating young people with brain and spinal cord injuries.
Lottie is a qualified Pilates instructor, teaching a wide cohort of people in one-to-one, two-to-one, or group-based settings. Lottie is particularly interested in working with the horse and rider combination, with the aim to improve the strength, flexibility and biomechanics of the rider to optimise the horse’s performance, and vice versa.
Lottie is an experienced horse woman and has competed at the national level in British showjumping. She enjoys doing Pilates (in between teaching it) and spending time doing groundwork and gymnastic work to strengthen her, as well as her horse. Above all, Lottie particularly loves hacking in the Surrey Hills with her Plummer Terrier at her side.

Julia Saunders
Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon
Julia studied veterinary medicine at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge. She graduated in 2001 and has worked in various small animal practices, mainly in Sussex and Surrey, ever since. Julia currently works for both Meadow Hall and a practice in Highworth, Wiltshire. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary work and does like a bit of wildlife work when possible, especially enjoying dealing with hedgehogs.
Julia has a rescue lurcher called Eric and a third-hand Mediterranean spur-thighed tortoise called Chippy. In her spare time, she can often be found walking Eric, gardening, or tending her allotment, although she does also manage to squeeze in a fair bit of wildlife-watching, socialising and reading as well.
Abi Ambler-Braid
Receptionist & Animal Nursing Assistant
Abi is one of our receptionists and animal nursing assistants here at Meadow Hall. She has worked in the veterinary industry for two years, having previously worked a year in a dog grooming salon and 10 years in retail. She has also done 5 years of voluntary work at a local animal rescue centre.
She has a passion for animals (great and small!) and she loves being able to put that passion into helping care for our patients here. When she’s not here at the practice, you will probably find her with a paintbrush in hand! Abi creates a variety art pieces, mainly focusing on animals and nature.
Saoirse Henson
Student Veterinary Nurse
Saoirse lives in Woodmancote with her adored dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. Saoirse has been working at Meadow Hall Vets for just over a year as an animal nursing assistant and has recently started training as a student veterinary nurse. Saoirse loves all aspects of her role and particularly enjoys getting to know our patients and their owners. When not at Meadow Hall Vets, Saoirse can be found reading, gardening, or spending time with her pets!
Laura Nutley RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Laura has worked in the veterinary setting for over 20 years, qualifying as a veterinary nurse in 2008.
The first part of her career was spent in a veterinary hospital and in more recent years she has worked in a smaller practice. Laura enjoys being able to get to know her patients and their owners, which working in a smaller practice allows.
Laura enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing including anaesthesia, radiography and nurse clinics.
At home, Laura has a 3-year-old rescue cat called Daisy who rules the roost!
Karen Puzio
Receptionist
Karen started working in the veterinary industry in 1985 as a veterinary nurse. Having stayed with the same practice she was promoted to Practice Manager before recently retiring.
Missing the veterinary life after retirement has lead her to us! She loves sharing the knowledge she has accumulated over the years in practice with owners and is enjoying being back in practice.
Louisa Robinson RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Louisa has worked in the veterinary industry for 12 years, starting out as a receptionist/veterinary care assistant before qualifying at a veterinary nurse in 2016.
She enjoys all aspects of veterinary care but has a particular interest in both wound and dental care. Like us, she is also passionate about providing good customer service.
Ruth Silvester RVN
Lead Veterinary Nurse
Ruth has a wealth of experience in all areas of veterinary nursing, from large animals to small animals, and from exotics to teaching veterinary nursing! She also has experience working for a charity and in an animal hospital.
She enjoys all aspects of the veterinary nursing role, from mopping floors to assisting in surgery, but she mainly appreciates being able to support the vets so they can do the best for our patients.
Sophie Noble
Veterinary Surgeon
Sophie moved to Thakeham in 1998 and the family home has remained on the outskirts of the village ever since. Bar a few years away up north to attend the University of Liverpool to study veterinary science, Sophie has been a resident of Thakeham for most of her life.
She is passionate about animal care, coming from a place of teamwork and understanding that is shared by the practice and the pet’s owners. It’s this desire that led Sophie to set up Meadow Hall Veterinary Practice.
